“Show and Tell”

One day all children will have true equal access to technology no matter their geographic location, economic status and other circumstances they can’t control.  Unfortunately, especially in our rural areas, it doesn’t seem to be progressing at the same rate that technology advances, but we keep dreaming and hoping.  One day learning will not have to stop at the end of the school day because of lack of access to technology.  And when that day comes, then we’ll be one step closer to achieving a high quality education system EVERYWHERE!

This week’s Fabulous Friday Find highlights the Whitehouse’s new initiative, ConnectEd, to bring high speed internet access to nearly all of our nation’s students.  Check out this Google+ Hangout recording of yesterday’s virtual “show and tell” from three high tech schools across the country and read all about this initiative at http://www.whitehouse.gov/show-and-tell.  It’s so inspiring to see students from all over talking passionately about the projects they’ve been working on and the technology they use.
