Digital Learning?? Digital learning is any instructional practice that effectively uses technology to strengthen a student’s learning experience. Much more than “online learning,” digital learning encompasses a wide spectrum of tools and practice. Digital learning emphasizes high-quality instruction and provides access to challenging content, feedback through formative assessment, opportunities for learning anytime and anywhere, and individualized instruction to ensure all students reach their full potential to succeed in college and a career.

So why do we have just one day of that?? Digital Learning Day celebrates teachers and shines a spotlight on successful instructional practice and effective use of technology in classrooms across the country that takes place all year long. The inaugural Digital Learning Day boasted tens of thousands of educators representing nearly 2 million students. Signing up your class or entire school is FREE and easy and the official Digital Learning Day website contains lesson ideas and toolkits already made for you to use. They even have resources for submitting your activities to our local newspaper.

Digital Learning Day’s Digital Town Hall will be live on WednesdayFebruary 6from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m.

P.S. Recognize this bulletin board? This is from a classroom in CCPS and she just happens to be using a “find” that was first posted on our blog a few months ago! Take a guess and let us know who you think it is by posting a comment on that special blog post and you will win a prize 🙂 First one wins.
